Personal Independence Payment

Personal Independence Payment (PIP) helps with some of the extra costs caused by long-term ill-health or a disability if you’re aged 16 to 64.

You could receive between £21.80 and £139.75 a week. The rate depends on how your condition affects you, not the condition itself. You’ll need an assessment to work out the level of help you’re eligible for. Your rate will be regularly reassessed to make sure you’re getting the right support.

Paperweight can help you with the application which requires the completion of a questionnaire and the submission of much supporting medically-related documentation. We can also arrange, in some circumstances, to attend the assessment interview with you.

Applying for PIP is probably the most onerous of benefits applications – in time, in intrusiveness and in the scope of documentation demanded. We are here to help.

It is very easy to miss out on benefits which you need and are entitled to.
