NextGen Student Coordinator (Part-time; Paid Role)
Location: Hybrid with occasional travel for on-site delivery
Hours: 8 hours a week
Pay: Max £5288 per annum (according to hours worked).
We are seeking a passionate Student Coordinator to drive engagement, build connections and bring the NextGen programme to life!
In this exciting and varied role, you’ll:
- Support the delivery and development of the NextGen programme across UK campuses
- Coordinate and deliver student engagement activities, including events, presentations and outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with student organisations, universities and community stakeholders
- Promote Paperweight’s services and LifeReady! courses to students and young adults
- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding and coordination of student volunteers (PaperMates)
- Support marketing, communications and record-keeping, including social media and programme tracking
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Currently studying at university (ideally in their second year or equivalent)
- Passionate about supporting young people, with a strong understanding of the Jewish student experience and community landscape
- An excellent communicator, confident engaging with individuals and groups
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to manage their own workload
- Digitally confident, including use of social media and online platforms
- Passionate about supporting young people and contributing to community life

PAPERWEIGHT LEEDS CO-ORDINATOR (Part-time, Paid Role)
Location: Leeds
Hours: Starting at 12 hours per week
Pay: DOE
Our Leeds office has been successfully established and is making a real difference. We are seeking an additional organised and compassionate individual to continue building our presence in Leeds.
In this exciting and varied role, you’ll:
- Support, supervise and motivate a growing team of volunteer Caseworkers.
- Liaise with local organisations, synagogues and community leaders.
- Oversee client enquiries, allocations and case progression.
- Play an active role in casework, including advocacy, form-filling, budgeting and benefits support (full training provided).
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting via our CRM system.
- Promote Paperweight’s services across the wider Leeds Jewish community.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A confident communicator and natural relationship-builder.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Compassionate and calm when working with vulnerable individuals.
- Comfortable using databases & digital systems (CRM experience desirable).
- Familiar with the Leeds Jewish community.

Leeds Co-ordinator Job Description

PAPERWEIGHT BRIGHTON COORDINATOR
We are rapidly expanding around the UK. Right now we’re establishing a new branch in Brighton and seeking to fill a new position.
Job Title: Paperweight Brighton Coordinator
Hours: 6 – 8 hours a week (flexible)
Salary: £5,079 per annum
Location: Brighton – remote and office-based
Key responsibilities include:
- Helping set up and run, along with the National Services Coordinator, the Brighton branch of Paperweight.
- Liaising with, progressing and monitoring Client enquiries.
- Organising and scheduling Paperweight local clients to be seen by Caseworkers.
- Helping to recruit local volunteer Caseworkers to see clients face-to-face.
- Assisting setting up Caseworker training sessions with the London Head Office.
- Assisting the London team to promote Paperweight’s services to local Jewish organisations
Skills:
- Essential: to be fluent in English (Spoken and Written)
- Desirable: to be proficient in all Microsoft packages
- Desirable: to have experience using a CRM or similar style database
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, organised and with a passion for making a difference. They’ll enjoy advocating for vulnerable people with kindness and compassion while having excellent communication skills, with an empathetic and calm demeanour. It would be helpful to have a charity/synagogue background together with an understanding of the Brighton Jewish welfare infrastructure. This position is suitable for someone studying, working part-time, semi or fully retired, and seeking a fulfilling and rewarding role.
