Clinically Extremely Vulnerable People

Clinically Extremely Vulnerable People

Those who are clinically extremely vulnerable are advised to stay at home during the lockdown period as much as possible apart from outdoor exercise. Those who can work from home must do so, and those who cannot, should not go to work. These new shielding measures will apply from 5th November until the 2nd December 2020 inclusively.

People who cannot attend work for this reason may be eligible for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), Employment Support Allowance (ESA) or Universal Credit. Eligibility criteria will apply.

If they were on payroll before 30 October 2020,  they may also be eligible for the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (on furlough)
