PAPERWEIGHT REGIONAL DIRECTOR – MANCHESTER OFFICE
Location: Office based role, Prestwich, Manchester
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week
Reports to: Chief Executive (London) / Board of Trustees
Salary: £18,000 – £20,000 commensurate with experience
The Paperweight Trust is opening its first Manchester office and we’re looking for an inspiring and energetic Regional Director to lead the way.

PAPERWEIGHT BRIGHTON COORDINATOR
We are rapidly expanding around the UK. Right now we’re establishing a new branch in Brighton and seeking to fill a new position.
Job Title: Paperweight Brighton Coordinator
Hours: 6 – 8 hours a week (flexible)
Salary: £5,079 per annum
Location: Brighton – remote and office-based
Key responsibilities include:
- Helping set up and run, along with the National Services Coordinator, the Brighton branch of Paperweight.
- Liaising with, progressing and monitoring Client enquiries.
- Organising and scheduling Paperweight local clients to be seen by Caseworkers.
- Helping to recruit local volunteer Caseworkers to see clients face-to-face.
- Assisting setting up Caseworker training sessions with the London Head Office.
- Assisting the London team to promote Paperweight’s services to local Jewish organisations
Skills:
- Essential: to be fluent in English (Spoken and Written)
- Desirable: to be proficient in all Microsoft packages
- Desirable: to have experience using a CRM or similar style database
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, organised and with a passion for making a difference. They’ll enjoy advocating for vulnerable people with kindness and compassion while having excellent communication skills, with an empathetic and calm demeanour. It would be helpful to have a charity/synagogue background together with an understanding of the Brighton Jewish welfare infrastructure. This position is suitable for someone studying, working part-time, semi or fully retired, and seeking a fulfilling and rewarding role.

NEXT GEN STUDENT CO-ORDINATOR
Demand to our National Helpline is now rising among our community’s youth. In direct response we’re launching the ground-breaking NEXTGEN project to bring Paperweight’s services to young Jewish people from young Jewish people, across the UK.
The Student Coordinator role is a new position to research, shape and develop the project and help run it, supporting the National Services Coordinator to…
- Bring Paperweight’s free services to students and young people, aged 18-25
- Find young volunteers to provide admin help to elderly individuals (which we call Paperlite Plus)
- Invest in young people through essential Life and Money Skills training courses.
To succeed in the role you’ll be a true multi-tasker, have excellent communication skills, be fluent in English, strong knowledge of the Jewish community, a compassionate and calm demeanour. You should be proficient in all Microsoft packages and have previous experience using a CRM database and open to further training.
- The role will initially be between 6 – 8 hours per week, including occasional evening or weekend work and visiting universities around the country
- Remuneration will be £5,079 per annum
