As we approach Rosh Hashanah, we are reminded that this time of year is not only about reflecting on ourselves, but also about recognizing the difference we can make in the lives of others.
Our Sages teach us that “the world stands on three things: Torah, Avodah and Gemilut Chasadim” — Torah, service, and acts of kindness. The work of a charity is perhaps the ultimate expression of Gemilut Chasadim: giving of your time, energy and care to help those who need it.
To all our wonderful volunteers, thank you. So much of what you do happens quietly and without recognition, but every hour you give, every person you help, and every act of kindness makes a real difference.
You are at the heart of Paperweight and we are endlessly grateful for all that you do.
To all our staff, every day you go that extra mile to ensure that everyone who comes to our door is treated with respect and dignity. Our success is your success.
