How We Work

This is what you can expect when you come to Paperweight.

When you contact us, or are referred by another party, we will spend time listening to your concerns and worries and will talk you through how we can best help.

Our response depends very much on your circumstances as everyone is different and you will need us to support you in a way that is unique to you.

At Paperweight, we make the client the focus of our attention.

We will work alongside you to address the underlying causes of your difficulties professionally, tactfully and with discretion and determination.

Our team is trained to work sensitively and effectively, especially with clients experiencing bereavement, relationship breakdown, or mental and physical health challenges.

Our trained assessors will listen carefully and without judgement to your story and take the time to understand your circumstances. They will gather the key details we need so that we can identify the most suitable support and appoint the right caseworker with the experience to understand the issues you are facing.

Where possible, clients can be seen in one of our hubs, or we may be able to visit you at home, alternatively we can support you online.

You will usually work with the same caseworker throughout your time with us, providing continuity, reassurance and practical support. We will be alongside you throughout your journey, for as long as our help is needed.
