Duties will include but are not limited to assisting the National Services Coordinator and Manchester Regional Director with:
- Assisting with the organisation and delivery of NextGen presentations, campus events and student engagement activities.
- Maintaining a calendar of key student engagement opportunities, such as Freshers’ Fairs, Careers Fairs, student wellbeing events and other campus activities where NextGen could engage with students.
- Contacting UK Jewish student organisations e.g. UJS, UJC, JLGB, to generate connections with key stakeholders.
- Promoting Paperweight’s services to young people across the country who would benefit.
- Supporting the recruitment, onboarding and coordination of student volunteers offering support as a be-friender/‘Papermate’ to elderly and isolated members of the Jewish community in London and around the UK.
- Supporting the promotion of LifeReady! Courses for young people to teach financial literacy, employ-ment contracts and tenancy basics
- Managing student sign-ups and maintaining records of engagement, volunteers and programme par-ticipation.
- Assisting with social media promotion and exposure of NextGen aims and objectives to young people around the UK.
- Helping to create innovative and appropriate advertising, programming and events appealing to young people.
- Researching and designing new Paperweight leaflets specifically aimed at young people.
- Explaining to young volunteers the personal benefits and long-term advantages of volunteering with Paperweight, particularly for their future career prospects.
- Visiting different University sites around the country to make presentations to students promoting the NextGen project and engaging students in its various strands
