Attendance Allowance

If you’re state pension age or over with physical or mental ill health conditions, you may be eligible for extra funds for personal care.

You could receive between £76.70 or £114.60 a week to help with personal care if you’re physically or mentally disabled and you’re aged 65 or over.

Attendance Allowance is paid at two different rates and how much you’re entitled to depends on the level of additional care that you need because of your disability.

The lower rate is paid if you need frequent help or constant supervision during the day; the higher rate is paid if you need help or supervision throughout both day and night, or you’re terminally ill.

You could also be eligible for extra Pension Credit, Housing Benefit, or Council Tax Support if you get Attendance Allowance.
